What happens when the World Cup meets our French classes? Absolute fun (and a guest appearance from Kylian Mbappé himself!)
This week in our adult French groups, we swapped dusty grammar books for real-world culture and current events. With the big match between France and Morocco, we had so much to talk about!
Here is what our brilliant learners tackled this week:
Les pauses fraîcheur: Mastering the vocabulary for discussing those controversial hydration breaks.
Complex grammar (made easy!): We practised the pluperfect and conditional perfect structures by debating what would have happened if Mbappé had scored an early goal (spoiler: les Français auraient été très heureux !).
Literature & Culture: We delved into the gripping work of Franco-Moroccan author Leïla Slimani, exploring the fascinating and complex cultural ties between the two nations.
